Bankroll / coverage
How many poker buy-ins does a bankroll cover?
Buy-in coverage is your poker bankroll divided by a typical buy-in. It describes the money available for the game; it does not calculate whether that amount is safe for you.

The coverage calculation
Buy-ins covered = bankroll ÷ typical buy-in
Scenario target = typical buy-in × chosen number of buy-ins
Compare coverage scenariosA worked example
A bankroll of 4,000 and a typical buy-in of 200 gives 20 buy-ins. Choosing a 30-buy-in scenario produces a target of 6,000, a difference of 2,000. The scenario is an input you choose, not PokerArc's recommendation.
Coverage is not risk of ruin
The ratio does not know your true edge, variance, future expenses or ability to replenish funds. It cannot produce a probability of going broke. Changing a target in the calculator does not change the underlying uncertainty of poker.
Keep a clear record
Separate game results from deposits, withdrawals and money needed for everyday expenses. Use a consistent currency and label transfers so they are not mistaken for poker profit. Use the PokerArc Session Tracker for session results. Keep deposits and withdrawals separate from poker profit; do not combine different currencies without an explicit reporting conversion.
